Description:
The deep canyons and erosion-carved sandstone formations become rugged cliffs and stone chimneys in the valley often referred to by travelers as Ghost Ranch in northern New Mexico . Deep garnet hills formed more than 220 million years ago stretch across the valley where some of north America 's oldest dinosaur bones lie hidden. The forms are bold and suggestive under a desert sky that encircles in unbroken rim with pale yellow to deep ultramarine.
